Student Voice Consultant Team

Annabelle

Hi everyone! I’m Annabelle, but many people call me Annie. I’m currently in Grade 8. I love singing, acting, and musical theatre. I don't think and communicate like most people, and I know that others struggle with similar challenges. This inspired me to join the BCE Student Voice community and become a consultant to advocate for my ideas. I want to make a difference for students who struggle in school or even just in public. I would love for schools to become a safe space for people with diverse gender expressions, disabilities, and sexualities. It would be amazing if schools are a more supportive and inclusive place for everyone. 🌻

Ely

Hey everyone, my name is Ely, and I’m in Grade 9. Some things I enjoy are reading books amidst nature, going to the beach, public speaking, having meaningful conversations, eating seasonal fruits, and listening to music! Last year was my first year with Student Voice, and it was absolutely awesome. I’m so excited to be back at it again. This year, my aim is to make people aware that your voice matters in all aspects of life, whether it's about the way assignments are handled or the security of schools. Your voice will always be valued. Even if you want to make a small change, it could make a big difference for other students who feel the same way. Together, let’s work to make school feel like a second home—a home where everyone will feel safe and secure to voice their opinions. 📣

Sanmeet

Hey everyone! I’m Sanmeet, and I’m in Grade 10. I really enjoy going to school—especially studying Japanese and DTFM (food). I’m thrilled to be part of the Student Voice team again. I’m passionate about mental health and supporting LGBTQIA students. Being part of the Student Voice team has been incredible; I’ve already made so many cool new friends. I’m genuinely excited about the year ahead and collaborating with even more people to create a difference in BCE schools and education. A fun fact about me is that I’m a foundation student, which means I’m the oldest grade at my school and will be until I graduate! Let’s work together to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all students!🍱

Charley

Hey everyone! I’m Charley, and I’m in Year 9. A bit about me: I love going to the beach, playing sports, and hanging out with friends and family. I’ve played netball for 8 years and Oztag for 3 years. I love binge-watching my favorite Netflix and Disney shows and movies (even though I’ve watched them hundreds of times). I’m so excited to be part of the 2025 Student Voice Team. This year, I want to be the change and make BCE schools even better. My goal is to contribute in ways that help make schools safer, more accessible, and create a welcoming environment for the BCE community. ⭐

Jess

Hi, I’m Jess. I love reading, writing, and just chilling with my friends and family. This is my first year as a Student Voice Consultant, and I’m so excited to see what the role is all about. What drove me to become a Student Voice Consultant is my love for helping people. I also want to make a positive impact not just on the students of BCE schools, but also on the teachers, families, and more! I want to help people find a way to be themselves in an environment that is encouraging and respectful. 🏫

Vashnavi

Hi, I’m Vashnavi, and I’m in Year 10. I’m super thrilled to be part of the SV Consultants team for the 2nd time! I’m really into K-pop, K-dramas, food, and anything related to Korea. I’m also extremely proud of my home country, India. In my free time, I do Bollywood dance and Kuchipudi, which is a traditional Indian dance. I’m also part of an Indian dance group at school. I believe I’m a very enthusiastic person with wild ideas and ways to change our society. I joined Student Voice because I want to make a positive impact on our community and learn new skills like leadership and public speaking. Sharing my culture is something I love, and I want to inspire others to do the same without feeling embarrassed or judged. I’m hopeful that Student Voice in 2025 will help schools across BCE embrace our multicultural society and create new events where we can connect with the BCE community.💃

Japneet

Hey everyone, I’m Japneet, and I’m currently in Grade 9. I enjoy going to school and making a difference in my community, which is why I decided to become a consultant. Ever since primary school, making a positive impact on my community and surroundings has been a top priority for me. I want to ensure that everyone around me feels safe and happy. As a Student Voice Consultant, I can help make changes in the BCE community to ensure everyone feels safe and respected. This role also gives me the opportunity to use my voice to bring forward the needs of others. As a team, we will work to make BCE schools a place where everyone’s voice is heard, and we’ll do our best to support them. Let’s make a positive difference! 💡
