Competition Theme
Your submitted artwork must represent the theme: - Child Protection is Everyone's Responsibility.
Students should think about what makes them feel safe, included and have a sense of belonging. Who are the people and what are the places and things that help students feel this way. All entries must:
contain positive messages and images.
represent the theme – “Child Protection is Everyone's Responsibility".include a statement in the entry form about how the artwork represents the theme “Child Protection is Everyone's Responsibility".include concepts that students, staff and parents will find appealing and easily identify nominated staff as Student Protection Contacts within the school setting.
| Competition will close on July 15, 2022 at midnight. Entries received after this date will not be considered. Winners will be advised by email no later than 1 September 2022. Winners will be invited to attend a special Child Protection Week event on 8th September 2022 at the BCE Office (2A Burke Street, Woolloongabba)

Four winning artworks will be chosen. Each winning art design will be awarded a $250 gift voucher!

GOALS OF THE COMPETITION
The goals are to:
Create an artwork that will be used to design t- shirts and other promotional material that will help the school community easily identify Student Protection Contacts (SPCs). Promote discussion about safety at school. Promote awareness of the role of SPCs in schools.
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS All students from Prep to Year 12 in Brisbane Catholic Education schools are invited to participate. Entries must be original work and must not contain any copyrighted material or any intellectual property belonging to others, and not infringe on any third party right of privacy. This is including, but not limited to photographs, trademarks and/or logos.

Entries received without a parent consent form will not be included in the judging.
The parent consent form must be completed and signed and uploaded to the application form.
JUDGING PROCESS
A fair and impartial judging panel will judge the entries and select winners, based on the following criteria:
The decision of the panel is final, and no further discussion will be entered. The judging panel will include student and staff representatives from Brisbane Catholic Education.
COPYRIGHT STATEMENT
By entering the competition, entrants assign copyright of their creative concept to BCE. BCE may use the creative concepts in any manner including reproducing them, changing or reworking them and/or using them on the BCE webpages (including BCE school staff, student and parent/carer portals) and in any promotional and resource material, including the Student Protection Contact t-shirt design, to raise awareness of Student Protection in BCE. Parents MUST COMPLETE THE CONSENT FORM in order for a child's entry to be considered.

ARTWORK
Each entry must be submitted via the online entry form. Entries received without an entry form will not be included in the judging. You are welcome and encouraged to hand draw your design and digitise via scan to enter (the design does not have to be created in a program). Artwork files must be provided in one of the following formats to enable best quality output.
WINNING ENTRIES
4 winning entries will be chosen as a basis for the final artwork design. Each winner will be invited to the official launch of 2022 BCE Child Protection Week as special guests and be the first students to see the final design which will incorporate elements of each of the 4 winning art works.
